2 . P RELIMINARIES

   2.1.   The I n f o r m a t i o n a n d C o m m u n i c a t i o n T e c h n o l o g y C o nt r a ct o r
          (hereinafter          called      the      " ICT    Cont ract or ")      shal l    provi de
          p r eli mi nar y i tems as menti oned i n the Bi ll of Quanti ti es.


   2.2.   The c o n t r a c t o r s hal l submi t detail shop drawi ngs i n AutoC AD
          R14 o r h i gher format. The drawi ngs shal l i ncl ude detai l c abl e
          and tr unki ng r oute, network and t el eph o ne port l oc ati ons, and
          exter nal c abl i ng route. These drawings shall be submitted t o
          JKR f o r approval p r i o r t o installation. C o n t r a c t o r shall take
          i n t o c onsi der ati on the es ti ma te d c ost requi red t o prepare the
          dr awi ngs . Thi s c os t s hal l be part of the whol e projec t c ost.

   6 . 1 5 . The   wor k     of   s up pl yi ng,    layi ng,    termi nati on,      testing     and
           c ommi s s i oni ng f o r the c abl i ng shall be done by a C e r t i f i e d
           I n s t a l l e r . The I CT c o n t r a c t o r shal l submi t the c erti fi cati on up on
           s ub mi tti ng thi s t e n d e r d o c u m e n t .



7 . T ELEP H ONE SYST EM

   7.1.    Numb er s of tel ep hone poi nts have been i denti fi ed as p e r SOA
           ( R e f e r t o SO A ICT and Telephone Services). These points shall
           be of UTP Cat 3 (EI A/TI A Cat 3) type i n c onc eal ed UP VC
           c ondui t, c omp l ete wi th RJ11 jac k, fac epl ates, p a t c h cord and
           c onnec tor . Thes e p oi nts are c onnec ted through the Distribution
           Points (DP) located in tel ephone r i s e r every f l o o r as indicated
           in the dr awi ng ( R e f e r t o I CT and Tel ephone Servi ce L ayout).


   7.2.    Al l tel ep h one p oi nts are a n a l o g extensi on. The l ocati on of the
           t el ep ho ne p oi nts are as i ndi cated i n the drawi ng (I CT and
           Tel ep hone Servi c e L ayout).


   7.3.    Exter nal tel ep ho ne c abl i ng must use PEUTTF F o u t d o o r c able
           typ e. The connection for external telephone cabli ng is from
           proposed PABX room within the s a m e buil di ng t o tel ep ho ne
           r i s e r r oom l oc ated at ground f l o o r c ome wi th distri buti on
           fr ame c abi net and p u n c h bl oc k.



8 . IDENT IFICAT ION AND LABELING

   8.1.    I denti fic ati on and labeli ng shal l be done i n ac c ordance t o the
           JKR s p ec i fi cati on – Network equi pment, Voi c e and D a t a Cable
           L ab el i ng Standar d Versi on 1 .0 f o r det ai l gui deli nes.
9 . GROUNDING AND B ONDING

  9.1.   The I CT c o n t r a c t o r must suppl y, i nstal l , test and c ommi ssi on
         the      gr oundi ng           and       bondi ng         system         for      server       room,
         tel ec ommunic ati on                 c l oset     room      and       tel ephone       ri ser.      Al l
         tel ec ommunic ati on                 faci li ty     shall       be     equi pped           wi th     a
         Telecommunications Bondi ng Backbone (TBB). This backbone
         shall be used to gr ound al l tel ec ommuni c ati ons c abl e shi el ds ,
         eq ui p ment, r ac ks , c abi n ets, raceways, and o t h e r assoc i ated
         har dwar e that has the potenti al t o ac t as a c u r r e n t c a r r y i ng
         c onduc tor . The TBB shal l be i nstall ed i ndependent of the
         b ui l di ng’s         elec tric al     and        bui l di ng   ground          and    shal l      be
         d e s i gned            in    ac c ordanc e            wi th      the          rec ommendati ons
         c ontai ned i n the ANSI /TI A/EI A - 607 Tel ec ommuni c ati ons Bondi ng
         and Gr oundi ng Standard and JKR spec i fi c ati on.


1 0 .TEST ING AND COMMISSIONING

  1 0 .1 . The I CT c o n t r a c t o r s hal l test and c ommi ssi on a f t e r i nstall ati on

            ii.          Tel ep hone System


  10.2. Testing          will     be    in     two        phases.       The     first    will   be    System
         Acceptance Tes t (SAT). The test wi l l be foc usi ng on the sy stem


  10.3. Final Acceptance Test (F AT) will follow SAT. A f t e r FAT the whole
         system must b e operati onal and func ti onal based on t he
         u s e r s ’ r eq ui rements .

          effor ts wi thi n a reas onabl e ti me t o m a i n t a i n the equi pment as
          warranted.


          The wa r r a n t y includes proper performance a n d functioning
          of   the    equipment         in   accordance           with    the    specification
          provided.       The     equipment         shall    be    free    from     defects      in
