2.   A right of pasturage is also granted for the progeny of female cattle referred to in paragraph 1, until that progeny
     attains the age of six months and will be tagged with an identification brand.
3.   Notice is given to each person named in paragraph 1, that they are prohibited from depasturing a head of cattle in
     respect of which a right has been granted, if that animal 
     (a) does not have a tag attached to it; or
     (b) does not have a brand or mark on it that is registered in their own name
4.   Pasturage rights are allocated in accordance with and subject to the Administration of Norfolk Island Pasturage
     Rights Policy August 2003.

                                                  REGULATION 5

I, Stephanie Victoria Jack, Minister for the Environment, Education and Social Welfare, direct the owners of stock
depastured under the Pasturage and Enclosures Act 1949, to muster the stock for drenching and inspection by the Stock
Inspector at one of the following places between 7 am and 3 pm on any of the dates indicated below for that area. Any
variation of dates will be notified over the local radio.

It should be noted that owners of stock to which this direction applies are required to attend either in person or by their
appointed agent, at the appropriate muster place to assist the Stock Inspector.

It should be further noted that an approved right of pasturage must exist in respect of calves over the age of 6 months,
which are expected to be depastured on common land.

                        THE ADMINISTRATION OF NORFOLK ISLAND  POSITIONS VACANT
                                      NORFOLK ISLAND FIRE SERVICE


Firefighter – 2 Positions
The Administration of Norfolk Island is seeking applications from persons interested in the position of Firefighter within
the Norfolk Island Fire Service. The position will provide additional support to the existing Fire Service and report
directly to the Emergency Services Co-ordinator.
To be successful for the position you will need to have current Australian Fire Fighting Competency (AFC) Certificates
Levels II and III or equivalent qualifications; a current Aviation Radiotelephone Operators Certificate; a current HR
drivers licence; a preparedness to work spread of hours on a regular roster over a seven day a week basis; a proven
ability to be a team player; and have a current Senior First Aid Certificate.

Firefighter Traineeship
The Administration of Norfolk Island is currently looking at providing possible traineeships for additional Firefighter within
the Norfolk Island Fire Service. Persons interested in the position of Firefighter who do not hold certification are
encouraged to apply.
To be eligible you will need to possess good interpersonal and communication skills and have an understanding of
Occupational Health and Safety practices and principles. It is essential that you have the commitment to being a team
member and be willing to undertake all training with a positive and competent attitude. You will be required to work a
roster and on call as needed.
Position specifications containing the full criteria along with the major responsibilities and the salary range for both
Firefighter and Firefighter Trainee are available from the Human Resources section of the Administration or by phoning

competency in collation, evaluation and presentation of statistical data, competent level of computer literacy including
the use of spreadsheets and word processing software; high level interpersonal and liaison skills including well
developed written and oral communication skills; sound organizational, analytical and report writing skills and a
demonstrated capacity to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines and achievement of objectives and
standards.
