engaging NEET young people in Cumbria, using triathlon sporting activities. This
will improve the confidence, motivation and self esteem of beneficiaries and
reduce anti-social behaviour in the area.
Brookhouse Primary School Blackburn with Darwen This primary school in Blackburn will use funding to run an after-school multi-skills
club. This will enable young people in the community to develop their physical and
social skills with the aim to improve self esteem and confidence.
Seen to be Heard CIC Blackburn with Darwen This group in Blackburn will use funding to provide a sign language course for
staff, parents, carers and community members. This will enable the services of the
group to be to be more accessible to deaf parents who attend the centre.

enable the group to open a new community gym facility in the local area.

Bury Gateway Bury This charity based in Bury will use funding to carry out a recruitment drive to
ensure that all people with learning difficulties in the area are aware of the group's
services. This will help to reduce the isolation of people with learning difficulties,
helping them to access community services.
Friends of Runcorn Hill Cheshire East This charity in Runcorn will use funding to undertake training to gain new skills
including safe sampling techniques, species identification and improved record
keeping. This will enable the group to improve the biological management of the
site. In addition, the group will hold community education days for local schools in
CycleKnutsford Cheshire East This cycling group in Knutsford will use funding to produce a map depicting safe
cycle routes around the town, which will benefit members of the community. This
will provide people of all ages with the knowledge of how to get around town
safely on their cycles.

security and facilities on the site. This will provide their members with facilities to
work on their plots for longer in a secure environment.
Huntington Community Cheshire West and This school in Chester will use funding to create a wildlife and wilderness area in

Moore Community Activities Halton This voluntary group will use funding to provide activities for retired, semi-retired
Forum people and people with mobility problems in the local community. This will enable
them to run regular weekly sessions to help alleviate loneliness and isolation.
Halebank Angling Club Halton This voluntary group in Widnes, Cheshire, will use funding to build a path and
fishing pegs around a pond in Halebank Park. This will enable older and disabled
residents to make use of the facilities and take part in community activities.
St Wulstan's Catholic Primary Hyndburn This school in the Hyndburn area of Lancashire will use funding to create a wildlife
School, Great Harwood and fitness trail. This will provide an outdoor area for the school and community.

day for members, which will include Tai Chi, Keep Fit sessions and a talk on
healthy eating. This will encourage beneficiaries to stay active and keep them
informed of how to live a healthy lifestyle as they get older.
Merseyside Youth Matter Ltd Knowsley This youth group in Merseyside will use funding to purchase a minibus. This will
allow the group to engage young adults to build confidence and self esteem with
disadvantaged young people through fitness activities.
