									Lars O. Bouma D.D.S., M.S. elected ACP
Region 3 Alternate Director
                     The American College of Prosthodontists is pleased to announce Lar O.
                     Bouma, D.D.S., M.S. as Region 3 Alternate Director. In this role Dr. Bouma
                     will serve a two-year term on the ACP Board of Directors. Dr. Bouma
                     completed his dental education at the Baylor College of Dentistry in 1994. He
                     continued with a Graduate Practice Residency at the John L. McClellan
                     Veterans Administration in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1995 he was
                     commissioned in the United States Air Force. He served two years as a
                     general dentist and as the Officer in Charge of the Dental Laboratory. In
                     1997, he was accepted into the Air Force Prosthodontic Residency at Wilford
                     Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base. Upon graduation, he received
a certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science degree from the University of Texas
Health Science Center at San Antonio. In 2000, he was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base,
Bellevue, Nebraska where he was the Chief of Prosthodontics, the Dental Laboratory Flight
Commander, the Dental Laboratory Support Flight Commander, the Assistant Director for the
Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency and the Prosthodontic Consultant. He was
elected to serve as Secretary, Vice-President and two terms as President for the Nebraska
Chapter of the American College of Prosthodontists. He is currently serving as President of the
Oklahoma State Section to the ACP, and has been a volunteer for the ACPEF since 2004. Dr
Bouma has published on several aspects of Removable Prosthodontics, and is on the Publication
Peer Review for the Journal of Prosthodontics. He has lectured nationally on several topics of
Prosthodontics, Implant Dentistry, and Cone Beam Imagining. In 2006, he resigned his
commission in the United States Air Force, and now maintains a full-time private practice
limited to Prosthodontics at Implant and Prosthodontic Associates in Oklahoma City, and holds
an academic appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University Of Oklahoma
College Of Dentistry. He is a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists and a
Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics.
