									                                        INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT COORDINATOR

Campus Location: Jesup

Educational and Occupational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing,
Management or in a related field. Applicant must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal
skills along with computer skills. Experience in fundraising, marketing, working with non-profits, or in a post-secondary
educational system is desired.

Responsibilities and Duties: Under general supervision, responds to routine inquiries about marketing and foundation
roles at the college. Plans and coordinates special meetings and events; occasionally represents supervisor in both
internal and external settings. Assists in the operation, management and planning of the foundation. Works with
fundraising projects and assists with the implementation of programs for the Institutional Advancement Office.
Collaborates with community and foundation members on projects. Maintains databases relevant to each project and
monitors budgets, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Demonstrates strong background in computer information
software technology with emphasis in database, donor records systems, word processing and email collaboration
technology. Assists in writing grants. May manage the production of official publications, brochures,
newsletters/newspapers and magazines. May assist with the production of and write scripts for on-camera and recorded
audio-visual presentations. Will write a variety of presentations and media releases. Provides professional-level
administrative support to management. Performs various administrative and clerical tasks. Reviews and distributes
national and local newspaper/periodical clippings. May negotiate contracts with vendors and other businesses.

Additional Information: This is a professional position in higher education, exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act
(FLSA), and requires working 40 plus hours per week.

Salary/Benefits: Salary is in accordance with guidelines established by the Technical College System of Georgia. Full-
time benefits include Retirement (TRS or GSEPS), State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program, Health Insurance,
Annual/Sick Leave, and Holiday Pay.
