Apple dominates the smartphone market Samsung in Japan
Apple is now ahead of Samsung in the apple products in Japan because
many Japanese like. Nearly one in three smartphones sold in Japan last year was
apple brand, driving sales of Apple way ahead of Samsung's main rival in the
country, according to data published by a local research firm.
In the fiscal year ended March 31 smartphone vendors shipped 24.2
million devices in Japan, of which 30 percent is the iPhone, making Apple the
clear leader in that category, according to MM Research Institute seller. Samsung
captured 8.3 percent share, trailing Apple and domestic maker Sharp, Fujitsu and
Sony. Global Data published recently have shown that the smartphone market
dominated by Apple and Samsung. IDC and Strategy Analytics estimates that
Apple overtook Samsung for the top spot in the January-to-March, while iSuppli
said Apple was the leader. A rough comparison of the figures show Japan make
up approximately five percent of the global smartphone market.
Apple and Samsung have been trading the lead they release a new model,
with the launch of Apple iPhone 4S late last year gave a final push. Samsung is
currently preparing to launch its Galaxy S3 handset, because it goes on sale
worldwide over the next few months, while Apple is expected to release a new
iPhone later this year.
IPhone 4S acquired customers in Japan at a sharp pace last year, the first
time an Apple mobile phone has been carried out by two operators in the country.
