Kaitāia Ward Relief Society Newsletter 13 May 2012 Hello again our beautiful Sisters (kia ora ano e nga Tuahine ataahua) as we commemorate our mothers on this day. NOTICES THANK YOU: Thank you to those who were able to attend the Ward activity on Saturday. Special thanks to our Bishopric, Priesthood Quorums, Young Men and Young Women for treating the mothers of this Ward to an event and dinner at which we did not have to lift a finger. FROM THE STAKE: The Stake have asked when we visit our Sisters and their whānau in their homes that we ask them if they are holding their Family Home Evenings and check if they have a set of scriptures in their home. Where there are none, we will act to place scriptures in those homes. They have also asked that when we are feeding the Missionaries, please ensure they have left our homes by 6pm. If you love me … feed my sheep. Doing so detracts from their sacred callings and the spirit of meetings. It also could prevent them from greeting other members. Members should not take photographs of General Authorities or Area Seventies in chapels. CHURCH POLICY ON RECORDING TALKS OR ADDRESSES OF GENERAL AUTHORITIES AND AREA SEVENTIES – HANDBOOK 2: 21.1.33: Church members should not record the talks or addresses that General Authorities and Area Seventies give at stake conferences, missionary meetings, or other meetings. However, members may record broadcasts of general conference on home equipment for personal, noncommercial use.
