Q. 1 Define sex-typing and enlist various psychosocial factors which are responsible
     for sex typing. Also highlight the role of mass media in the process of sex
     typing.                                                                    (20)

Q. 2 Define cognition and causes of cognitive gender differences. Also explain how
     male and female differ in their mathematical abilities.                   (20)

Q. 3 Compare and contrast the cognitive differences regarding verbal and non verbal
     communication in men and women. Briefly relate the myths regarding
     assertiveness in male and female behavior?                                (20)

Q. 4 Write a note on the feminist approach towards gender stereotyping. Also
     recommend some effective strategies to reduce gender stereotypes from our
     society.                                                              (20)
Q. 5 Elaborate on the role of culture in gender role socialization. Also explain the
     factors which are liable to influence one’s level of aspiration for achievement. (20)

Q. 1 Describe the significance of Bem’s Self Perception Theory? Discuss if there are

     few corrective measures to rectify this imbalance.                           (20)

Q. 3 Differentiate between Monogamy and Polygamy. Discuss the condition under
     which a man generally remarries in our society.                     (20)

Q. 4 Define violence and highlight the link between power and violence. Explain the
     phenomenon of violence in context of patriarchal structure of society.    (20)

Q. 5 Define Battering and discuss Walker’s Battering cycle. Recommend ways in which
     domestic violence can be reduced in the society.                          (20)
