Summer Jam for Jessie captivating the
Adopt a Cabin!
The first ever Malung Summer Jam on August 20th was a
success by all counts. The benefit concert raised over
$1,800 which included funds from Thrivent Financial for
Lutherans. The concert's goal was to raise money for the
parish's work in remodeling an A-frame cabin at Lake of
the Woods Bible Camp. God blessed the approximately
100 attendees with perfect weather. The warm, sunny
evening gave way to a clear night that allowed people to
see a sky full of stars. Pastor Koch

on guitar and vocals, and her brother Jake on

The A-frame has been a total transformation! First, on the

Thanks to many gracious offerings from our
residential campers at Lake of the Woods Bible
Camp and Camp Emmaus this summer we were
able to raise $3900 for our summer offering!
This summer we are donating money to two
causes. The first is to continue our sponsorship
of two children in India through Lutheran
Partners in Global Ministry. Secondly, the
money generously donated will go towards
supporting other campers to come to camp
through our scholarship program. Thank you

Our summer ministry team was able to visit 13
congregations who were very welcoming as we
put on our Day Camp program within their
community. Thank you for the ministry that
you shared with us during those weeks and for
opening your doors to our ministry and staff.
This summer, we were able to have a special
donation from our Day Camp congregations to
Project Linus. Project Linus is a non-profit
organization whose mission is to provide a sense
of security and comfort to children who are
seriously ill, traumatized or in need by giving
them gifts of handmade blankets. During the
summer, congregations collected fleece and
made tie-blankets to donate. At the end of the
summer we were able to give 100 blankets to
Project Linus! Thank you to all who helped!

and Quality Meats.
