      perspective/setting. Do not simply rehash materials from different units of the

      originality of approach will fetch you maximum marks.

Q. 2 Describe the evolution of the field of advertising in the western world. How is the
     evolution of the field of advertising abroad similar to or different from its evolution
     in Pakistan?                                                                       (25)

Q. 3 What role does advertising play in the contemporary society? Pay attention to
     advantages and disadvantages of advertising to society in your answer. To what
     extent, the present day advertising on television conflicts with the Islamic Ideals of
     Pakistani Society?                                                               (25)

Q. 4 Successful advertising campaign depends to a great extent on the choice of right
     kind of advertising agency. Do you agree? Also discuss functions performed by an
     advertising agency and describe in detail various criteria that may guide a client to

Q. 2 What do you understand by an advertising copy? Describe structure of a “Copy”
     and the importance of “Visualization” and layout in a copy.               (25)
