               HELEN OSMA LOCAL HISTORY COLLECTION


       The Helen Osma Collection, located on the Library’s lower level, contains items focusing
       on Lawrence and the Douglas County area. Visitors are welcome to use all the available
       genealogical material at the library, but items cannot be checked out.

Sanborn Maps 1867-1970 (ProQuest)
  •   Digital access to Sanborn fire insurance maps for Missouri and Kansas. [text and images]

Proquest Historical Newspapers: The New York Times (1851-2003)
  •   Includes The New York Times from its first issue in 1851 up till 2003
  •   This database offers full page and article images with searchable full text and enables searchers
      to find news, editorials, letters to the editor, obituaries, birth and marriage announcements,
      historical photos, stock photos, and advertisements.
