Co - Education Source: Urdumania.com Co Education is a controversial topic in most of the Muslim communities. There are many advantages and disadvantages of co education according to different thoughts. There is a famous quote that, there is nothing good or bad but your thinking makes it so. There is nothing hundred percent efficient but it’s up to you how you take things and tag them with good or bad identity. This is the same case with co education that was initially introduced to eliminate the contradiction of thoughts between the males and females, but now it has become a fashion and educational institutes are now look like a club. The original purpose of co education has been lost and the young generation is developing a mindset that is against Islamic teachings. Everyday different functions are held in educational institutes where male and female students take part with more curiosity. Few people take such activities as prohibited and against the preaching of Islam. On the other hand, co education gives you some positive grooming as well to face the real world. It’s a fact that when boys and girls compete with each other to get first position in exams, the overall results are also affected in a positive way. Girls, on the other hand, gain much confidence and boldness due to co education to take their part in important concerns of their lives. There are many examples like Afia Siddiqui, Sharmeen Ubaid, Shaheed Benazeer Bhutto, Speaker Assembly Fehmeeda Mirza and foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar who have made us proud by rendering valuable services to the country.
