                                                           This Unit is designed to introduce candidates to sound from its creation through
                                                           recording and reproduction to perception.
Sound: Understanding the
                                 6      1                 The candidate will be made aware of the basics of audio acoustics and the factors

                                                           that impact on sound wave propagation in air. In addition the candidate will be given
                                                           an opportunity to understand the transmission of sound in electrical forms, both
                                                           analogue and digital.

                                                           MIDI workstation

                                                       1 Demonstrate knowledge of the properties of audio and audio effects.
                                                       2 Identify and plan the acquisition of digital audio for a specified brief.
Digital Media: Audio Editing     5   1   F1KT 11       3 Perform the acquisition of digital audio for a specified brief.
                                                       4 Manipulate and store the acquired digital audio to the form required by a specified
                                                       brief.
                                                       5 Evaluate finished product and own performance in meeting the requirements of a
                                                       specified brief.


                                                       The purpose of this Unit is to consolidate candidates’ knowledge and skills by
                                                       working through the logical stages of a creative project according to a set brief.

                                                  The purpose of this Unit is to introduce candidates to the components of audio

                                                  This Unit is designed to equip candidates with knowledge of the elements of AV
