PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION STROMATOLYSER-BA™ is an In Vitro basophil counting reagent for use on designated Sysmex Automated Hematology Analyzers. It is provided in a cardboard cube with a plastic liner. The specific compound is considered proprietary information. ο Toxicity Estimate: Oral rabbit LD50 1.1 kg/kg. This value is an extrapolation based on literature references, no animal studies were performed. The minimum and maximum tolerated human exposures for this product are not known. This toxicity estimate is based on the dilute product, not a pure or concentrated compound. ο ο OSHA Permissible Exposure Level (PEL): Not established. Carcinogen Data: No data listed.



PHYSICAL DATA Clear aqueous solution. Strong musty odor from surfactants. Acidic; pH ≈3.3. Specific Gravity at 25° C ≈ 1.001. Exact physical properties of this solution have not been determined but should approximate water which is the major component.


FIRE AND EXPLOSION DATA Not combustible. Under fire conditions may evolve an acidic vapor. REACTIVITY DATA Stable for use as intended. Avoid mixing with solutions that react adversely with acidic solutions. HEALTH HAZARD DATA Potential irritant to skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Ingestion may cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Suggested First Aid Procedures ο ο ο ο 7. Ingestion: Obtain medical attention. If patient is alert, dilute, by giving 4 to 8 oz. of water or milk.If vomiting occurs, turn patient on side and keep head lower than hips. Inhalation of mist: Move patient to fresh air. Obtain medical advice. Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with soap and water. Eye Contact: Promptly wash eyes with tepid water for 15 minutes or until all traces of irritation is removed. If irritation persists obtain medical evaluation.

SPILLS LEAKS AND DISPOSAL PROCEDURES Wear gloves, safety glassed or goggles if splash is anticipated and a lab coat. Dike, contain and absorb the spill with neutral absorbent material, place in a closed container for disposal. Dispose of waste in accordance with applicable local, state and federal environmental regulations. STORAGE AND SPECIAL INFORMATION Store at controlled temperatures away from heat and sunlight, to ensure reagent performance.
