Price Hike in Pakistan
Today inflation is the most important problem of Pakistan. Double digit growing
rate of inflation is affecting lower class and lower middle class communities in
Pakistan. Now it becomes very difficult for poor Pakistani people to keep their
both ends meet.
Causes of Inflation:
There are many causes of inflation like power crises, low supply, huge demand,
devaluation of currency, policies of State Bank of Pakistan, bad governance,
corruption, hoarding etc. Political parties are busy in fighting among themselves
and they are completely indifferent with the problems of Pakistani people. One of
the main factors for such a rapid price hike in Pakistan is the load shedding. Due
to the severe power shortage, lot of factories and industries has been closed
down resulting in the huge number of unemployed individuals. Another major
factor for such an expensive era is the burden of government expenses on the
shoulders of common people. The expenses of our government are much higher
than the revenues they generate for our country. Moreover, they do not pay
taxes on their properties. They not only do corruption in such a way, but the
major part of the economy is remained in their hands.
Impacts on the Nation:
It seems like the living and surviving in such an expensive era is impossible. Rather
than it is very easy to end up your life and many people has done it already. The
bad governance has always remained a problem in Pakistan and it is the root
cause for such a devastating situation of our country. It looks like some hidden
powers are running Pakistan because there is nothing left for its survival. The
corruption, the terrorism, political war, ever increasing prices of several products,
floods, earthquakes, food shortage, target killing and several other problems have
contributed greatly for taking our country to a deplorable situation. And these
were not sufficient for innocent people that the government has issued a price
increase schedule recently.
