            Verona Walk Ladies Golf
2nd Anniversary and a Hole in One!

HOLE in One! Our most senior member, Marge Pasquale at a young 91 years of age scored a hole in one on
Wednesday, April 9 at the Links Golf Course in Naples. Marge is a dedicated golfer and truly gives the ladies
something to aspire to! As some of the ladies head back up North, our full-time residents will be playing every
Wednesday morning until they return. Wonderful friendships have evolved as a result of the activity, and the
game has quite a few new followers due to the
                                                          group’s popularity.

Our monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, June 17 Support our Vendors!

is invited to come and share their ideas. salon on property. I have had the experience of previously
owning a restaurant. I would encourage my fellow residents
to give more support to the businesses at the Town
Center. As with any business if there is no support it will
fail. I would hate to see this happen here. If anyone has
suggestions on how each business owner could possibly

                      Hurricane Season!
Florida’s Hurricane season begins June 1 and continues until November 30. August and September are the busiest
months, both in the number of tropical disturbances and in the intensity of the storms.

Here are some key phrases you may hear on the news:

Tropical Storm Watch: An announcement is made for specific coastal areas where tropical storm conditions pose a
                                        possible threat within 36 hours.

Tropical Storm Warning: A warning that tropical storm conditions, including possible sustained winds of 39-73 mph, are
expected in specific coastal areas within 24 hours.

Hurricane Watch: An announcement that indicates a hurricane is near enough that everyone in the area should listen
for subsequent advisories and be ready to take precautionary measures. Watches are usually 24-36 hours in advance of
                                                        landfall.

Hurricane Warning: A warning that sustained winds of 74 mph or greater associated with a hurricane are expected in 24
hours or less. All precautions should be taken immediately.
