Fall 2010 NRHH Application
1. Applications will be available on September 23rd, 2010.
2. Applications are to be handed in by October 21st, 2010 by 5pm.
3. One reference is due by October 21st, 2010 by 5pm.
4. Completed applications may be brought to the NRHH Office (156 MFAC, Ellicott
Complex) Slide the packet under the office door if no one is there.
5. You MUST sign up for an interview slot. Available times will be posted on the NRHH
office door (156 MFAC). Place your name in 1 time slot.
6. Interviews will take place from Wednesday, November 4th until Monday,
November 18th. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with the date, time, and
location of your interview.
7. You will be notified by Monday, November 23rd on the decision for acceptance into
NRHH. Upon acceptance, inductions will take place early December. A specific date,
time, and location will be announced.
8. You must have a UB GPA of 2.75 at time of application for consideration.
What is National Residence Hall Honorary? (From our Constitution)
Article III: Purpose
Section I: Recognition
The purpose of the UB Bulls Chapter of the National Residence Hall
Honorary is to provide recognition for students living in the University
at Buffalo Residence Halls and Apartments who have made outstanding
contributions to the Residence Life System and life within the Residence
Halls and Apartments on campus.
Section II: Leadership
The UB Bulls Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary and all
members there of will strive to be role models to other students on
campus and provide programming to better serve Residential Life at the
University at Buffalo.
Section III: Community Service
Active members of the UB Bulls Chapter of the National Residence Hall
Honorary shall participate in one Community Service Program per
academic semester as a representative of the chapter.

a URH&A staff member, i.e. RA, CA, Hall Director, etc.)
C. What contribution(s) have you made to your residential area? How does this
qualify you as a candidate for NRHH?
D. Describe a goal you have that involves work in the residence halls/on-campus
apartments that you hope to accomplish in the next year. How would your
involvement in NRHH help you to achieve this goal?
E. Describe in full detail one experience where you felt it was difficult to be a
leader? What difficulties did you encounter and what did you learn from the
experience to enhance your leadership capabilities?
F. NRHH's main goal is recognition of on-campus leaders. What type of ways do
you feel leaders on campus should be recognized and how would you recognize
them if you became a part of NRHH?

NRHH Office located in 156 Millard Fillmore, Ellicott Complex, Buffalo, NY 14261.
References may also be submitted by candidates with their applications, provided the
reference is in a sealed envelope with the reference’s signature across the seal. The
reference letter is to be received by the selection committee by 5PM on Friday
October 21st, 2010.

NRHH Fall 2010 Application

Committee to determine inductees for Fall 2010 Induction. Please fill it out with care.

Top 1% of Residence Hall and Apartment Leaders – Must have a strong willingness
to create change within their living environment for the benefit of themselves, and
Have a personal and professional commitment in creating a community within the
residence halls that encourages confidence, safety, and respect for all those residing
within the halls and apartments.
Understanding the importance, and responsibility that members have to
recognizing those with the halls and apartments that help create a strong, and
warm environment to live in.
