for 4th & 5th Grade

        By Andrea Klee
What Is Perimeter?
 Perimeter is the distance all the way
    around an object.
 The perimeter of a circle is called the
    circumference.
How To Find Perimeter
1) Find the length of each side of the
     object.

2) Add all the lengths of the sides
     together.

3) This total is the perimeter.

What About Other Objects?
 How can we find the perimeter of
    objects other than squares and
    rectangles?
Other Objects
 Just add up the sides of the object.
 This is the same as squares and
    rectangles.
 What is the perimeter of this object?
