Ovarian Cyst Relief

									   Chocolate cyst (endometrium,
endometioid cyst, endometrial cyst
caused by endometriosis) caused by
when a small amount of endometrial
 tissue begins to bleed, falls off the
 uterine wall and lodges inside the
     ovaries and begins to grow.
  It is called a chocolate cyst
 because of the blood build up
(sometimes over years) which
          turns brown.
If it ruptures, the material that
was inside the cyst can spill over
   into the pelvis and onto the
 surface of the uterus, bladder
            and bowel.
  Treatment - can be either
surgical or by medicine. If the
patient has a lot of pain in the
   pelvic area, then often a
        physician will
 Recomentensaid drugs (non-
steroidal anti-inflammatories,
like Advil), unless the patient
has been definitively diagnosed
   as having endometriosis.
