Reproduction of Amphibians is the fourth volume in a series edited by Hiran Dutta and Douglas Kline (professors to whom I owe a debt of gratitude for their guidance through Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy and Mammalian Physiology while a naive undergraduate at Kent State University), following texts characterizing vertebrate respiratory function (Maina, 2002), renal structure and function (Ditrich, 2005), and muscular systems (Kisia and Onyango, 2005). An identical arrangement persists in the book's next three chapters, which feature details on oogenesis and the female reproductive system in Anura (Chapter 5), Urodela (Chapter 6), and Gymnophiona (Chapter 5). [...]Reproduction of Amphibians provides a very handy, quick reference guide to all things gonadal and gonadoductal in amphibians.
