James Patterson, CPF, APP, Senior Vice President of Purchasing
Canonsburg, PA – 22 years at CentiMark
“As Senior Vice President of Purchasing, I am responsible for securing
quality products for our customers and the appropriate equipment, tools and
safety supplies for my fellow CentiMark associates. I’m a Certified
Purchasing Manager and an Accredited Purchasing Practitioner. I have
served at various levels on the Board of Directors of ISM Pittsburgh
(Institute of Supply Management) and was honored to receive their Affiliate
of the Year award in 2003 while President. Most recently, I have had the
distinct honor of being nominated to serve as a trustee for the Roofing
Industry Alliance for Progress, part of the NRCA (National Roofing
Contractors Association.) The Alliance is a group of roofing professionals
that makes recommendations and decisions that affect the future of our
industry. I enjoy camping, kayaking and snow skiing with my wife and three
wonderful children.”

Heather Best, Service Manager
Boston, MA – 13 years at CentiMark
“I started working at CentiMark as a single Mom answering telephones.
Now, I am one of two women who are Service Managers at CentiMark. I
love being out on the roof and checking for roof leaks. Our crews are the
best and our priority is always to take great care of our customers. My
husband is the Branch Manager of the Boston office. CentiMark is a big part
of our family life and our work life. Our four kids will probably work for
CentiMark someday!”

Steve Hecht – Sales Manager
Memphis, TN – 39 years at CentiMark

“I was the 2nd sales rep that Ed Dunlap hired when he started the company.
We sold roofing and flooring with a tablet and a pencil since we didn’t have
any literature. Three of us (including Ed Dunlap) shared one typewriter to
prepare our proposals for customers. I sold the very first EPDM (rubber)
roof for CentiMark in 1978 at a school in St. Mary’s, PA. I was also
instrumental in developing CentiMark’s National Accounts Program. I love
working and retirement is not for me! Now, I mentor young sales
representatives and teach them how to sell roofing and how to cultivate and
maintain great relationships with CentiMark customers.”
