                          James Benjamin Strutchen Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is in memory of James Benjamin Strutchen. This scholarship is made possible through
contributions from anonymous contributors. James B. Strutchen Sr. was a role model and a hard
working father. He lived by the motto, “May the work that I’ve done Speak for me.” His major
accomplishments along with support of his wonderful wife, Wylene Strutchen, were ensuring that all their
children receive a quality education: James B. Strutchen Jr., retired chief naval NCO, currently teaching
in Jacksonville, FL; Dr. Marilyn E. Strutchen, Professor of Mathematics, currently teaching math learning
techniques to future teachers at Auburn University; Jerome Strutchen, retired USAF MSgt, currently
teaching and boys basketball head coach at Niceville High School; Malcolm L. Strutchen, LCDR Naval
Officer, currently on active duty; Lisa A. Strutchen, Advertising Manager, currently working in Macon

task and diligence to see it through.
