Personal Statement:
Ms. Spar uses a combination of understanding-based, facilitative and evaluative
mediation, depending on the case. She establishes a collaborative, rational, and flexible
environment in which to explore creative solutions, while ensuring that each party’s
interests are addressed. She has particular expertise in mediating highly emotional
disputes. In cases where the parties have an ongoing relationship, her goal is to maintain
that relationship.

Mediation Experience: Ms. Spar has successfully mediated several hundred cases,
including business and personal disputes, torts, family, employment, real estate,
intellectual property, insurance, unfair competition, community, personal injury,
guardianship, and children’s law matters. Having moved to Santa Rosa from Los
Angeles four years ago, she has been Co-Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution
Section of the Sonoma County Bar Association for the past three years.
