DOWNLOADING THE APP
How Do I Download and Install The App?
It's a simple process to download both free apps and paid apps to your phone. Most
people writing directions for "how to download apps to iPhone" assume that you
have a username and password. Follow the instructions below for easy
downloading.

 1. First you will need to create an account on the Apple AppStore website before
    you can download any apps. Follow the link below to take you to the sign up
    page.

 2. When you sign up, you will need a credit card or payment information, even if
    you only download this free app, Apple AppStore will still require this
    information. After you are done with this process, you should have a
    username (email address) and a password. You will need these to download
    the apps.

 3. From your iPhone, click on the App store button and scroll through to find the
    Voices.com app. Or, you can just search “Voices.com” in the App store and it
    will come right up.

 4. Select the Voices.com app and hit the "free" button (it's a free app), it will then
    change the "free" to "install". Click again to install. Here is where you will enter
    your username and password. You should only have to enter your username
    once and your iPhone will remember it, but you will need to always enter a
    password to prevent just anyone from downloading apps to your iPhone.

 5. Once your iPhone has started downloading the app, a status bar will show up
    to indicate how long it will take to download, (approximately 1 minute). Once it
    is complete, you can access your new app on your iPhone.

New Voices.com Members
You can sign up for a free Voices.com
account to get access to all the cool new
features of the Voices.com App.

The first step is to select your account type.
Are you a talent or client?

A client is a person who is looking to hire a
voice talent for a project such as a
commercial, narrate a video, provide a voice
for a character in a game or record a
voicemail message.

A talent is a person who is looking for voice-
over work, wants to record a sample of their
voice on their iPhone and promote
themselves to prospective employers.

To sign up, all you need to do is select a
username, password and add your name
and email address. That’s it! Once you’ve
signed up, you’ll be immediately logged in
and can start using the app right away.

RESETTING YOUR PASSWORD
Getting a New Password
If you forgot your password, that’s OK.
Simply click the Forgot Password link on the
Voices.com App login screen and you’ll see
the option to have your password reset. Just
enter your email address and we’ll send you
a new password.

SEARCHING FOR VOICE TALENT

Searching by Keyword

Searching for voice talent on the iPhone is
fun and easy. To get started, tap the Search
button in the navigation bar. At the top of the
Search screen, you’ll see a search bar
where you can search our marketplace of
25,000 voice over talent from around the
world. Search by keyword, language,
gender, location and more.


Browsing by Category
Alternatively, if you know the category of
audio samples you’d like to listen to, just tap
the category icon.

VIEWING PROFILES
Seeing The Results
The search results show the name of the
voice talent as well as a few descriptive
words for their voice, commonly referred to as
tags. The voice talent’s overall feedback
rating will also be presented along with the
ability to immediately hear their demo. By
clicking the arrow you will also be able to see
an expanded view of the selected talent’s
profile.

Learning More About a Talent
If you hear a voice talent you might like to
work with, tap through the search result to
see their complete profile. Each profile is
made up of three parts; Bio, Demos,
Feedback.

The bio lists all the talent’s biographical
information such as their work experience,
credits, skills and recording studio set-up.

The demos tab showcases audio samples of
the voice talent. Each demo includes a title,
description and options to share by email,
Facebook or Twitter.

The feedback tab reveals ratings and reviews
that the voice talent has received from work they completed through Voices.com.

To move ahead, simply tap the “Request Quote” banner at the top of the profile.

POSTING A JOB
Managing Your Jobs

A Job is a project that requires a voice over
recording. Usually dozens of talent will apply
for these job postings. Posting a job will
allow you to receive MP3 voice-over demos
and price quotes from a variety of voice-over
professionals. It is quick and easy to do. Our
job posting service is free and yields fantastic
results.

Posting Your First Job
To post a job, tap the New Job icon which will
bring you to the job posting form. Please
complete all of the fields. For quoting
purposes, our members request that you
provide as much information as possible
regarding your company, the nature of your
project, the length of the script (word count or
finished running time), market size and what
your company has budgeted for voice-over
work. Vocal direction and a sample script are
also very helpful. If you do not require a
custom read of your script, please note that
in the details section of the job posting.

EDITING A JOB
Changing The Information
You have the ability to edit your job posting
right from within the Voices.com App. In the
bottom navigation bar, tap the Jobs button
and locate your job. On the Job Details
screen, simply touch the Edit icon which will
flip you into edit mode. Make your changes,
and then click Save.

REVIEWING RESPONSES

How Do I See Responses?

Within your job, you can simply toggle over
to the Job Responses screen as
represented by the microphone icon. You’ll
see the number of responses listed too so
you’ll have a quick snapshot of how many
people have replied to your job posting.

On the Job Responses screen, you’ll see a
list of voice talent including their overall
feedback rating, their quote for your project
as well as a large audio player. Tap the play
button to listen to a sample recording of your
script, commonly referred to as an audition.
You can see even more details by tapping
through to the next screen called the
Response Details.

HIRING A VOICE TALENT

Viewing Response Details
The Response Details displays a proposal
written by the voice talent and some actions
that you can take such as “Liking” the talent
by touching the thumbs-up icon or deleting
the response.

The Voices.com global marketplace is
extremely responsive and we’re confident
you’ll be impressed with the quality and
variety of professionals who reply.

How Do I Hire a Talent on the iPhone?
Once you’ve listened to all your auditions
and narrowed it down to your favorite talent,
you’re ready to award your job. You’ve found
the best candidate based upon performance,
audio quality and price so you’re ready to
move ahead.

On the Job Response Details screen, you’ll
see a button labeled “Award Job.” Tap
“Award Job” and you’ll see options for
placing your order by credit card.

For tight deadlines, it’s recommended that
you call our customer service hot-line, toll-
free within North America. Friendly customer
service representatives are available to take your call, complete the hiring and
accept payment by credit card over the phone. A receipt for your payment will be
sent to your email address and the project will proceed immediately.

MAKING PAYMENT

Sending Payments To Voice Talent
On the Payments screen, you’ll see a list of
your payments with information such as the
job the payment was for, the date you made
the payment and the amount.

To see more information related to a
payment, tap through to view the Payment
Details.

Here you’ll see the payment details. Once
you’ve received the completed audio files
and you are satisfied with the work, tap
“Release Payment” which will notify
Voices.com to release the funds from escrow
and issue the payment to the voice talent.

That’s it! You’re done.

COMMUNICATING WITH TALENT

Inbox
Access all your previous messages and
communicate with voice talent right from
your iPhone. The list of messages in your
Inbox is organized by most recent on top
and you’ll even see which messages are
new as indicated by the blue dot. If you’ve
read a message, there will be no blue dot.
You may also view your previously sent
messages and deleted messages.


Message Details
Simply tap the subject line to see the full
message. On the message details screen,
you can:

 •   Read the entire message
 •   Reply
 •   Mark the message as unread and go
     back to it later

Rating The Voices.com iPhone App in the App Store




We’d love if you’d be willing to leave a rating and review the app. Here’s how you

1. To rate the app, you’ll first need to open iTunes. In iTunes, search for
“Voices.com” to locate the app listing.
