This is a beautiful screen. Firstly, it is large -- very large. It provides the user with a very large desktop
surface in which to work. The colors are vibrant, the blacks are very black, and the whites, in particular,
are very white. Some earlier-generation monitors tended to have a cream-colored off-white rather than
a true white. Not this monitor--the whites are snowy-white and brilliant. This monitor is particularly nice
for those of us who enjoy digital photography, as it beautifully displays digital photographs with true
colors and superb and subtle contrast. I like to photograph egrets, hawks, and pelicans, and the contrast
provided by this monitor captured the subtleties of the feather detail and the shading. The colors leave
nothing to be desired.

This monitor is also excellent for watching videos, given its fast refresh rate, bright colors, and excellent
contrast.

The manufacturer thoughtfully provides both an HDMI-DVI cable, and a VGA cable. The monitor will
accept either any of these. Thus, the user will be up and running with this monitor in a few minutes. No
set-up routine needed. Windows 7 recognized the monitor and the only thing I needed to do was to
decide whether this was my primary or secondary monitor -- primary, natch.

LCD monitors keep getting better and cheaper. This one is remarkably better than my earlier LCD
monitors in terms of colors and contrast. Highly recommended. RJB.
