 DESCRIPTION              In this continuation of Homoeopathy 1, constitutional remedies are covered in greater
                          depth, as well as a substantial range of illnesses and their corresponding homoeopathic
                          remedies.

 DURATION                 72 hours

 LEARNING                 By the conclusion of the module, students should be able to:
 OUTCOMES                 Term 1:
                          1. Describe the historical development of Posology.
                          2. Demonstrate an understanding of the influence of an historical figure to the shaping
                             Homoeopathy.
                          3. Demonstrate a knowledge of Materia Medica.
                          4. Select the minimum dose.
                          5. Outline the follow-up to prescribing.
                          6. Describe in depth the development of Materia Medica around homoeopathic
                             concepts of disease states.
                          7. Outline case management.
                          8. Explain how to conduct a homoeopathic proving.

                          Term 2:
                          1. Outline traps possible in patient management.
                          2. Explain how homoeopaths view “one-sided” diseases.
                          3. Demonstrate a knowledge of Homoeopathic Materia Medica.
                          4. Explain the purpose of Hahnemann’s “Chronic Disease Theory”.

                          Term 3:
                          1. Demonstrate a knowledge of Homoeopathic Materia Medica.
                          2. Explain how a homoeopath perceives systematised therapeutics.
                          3. Discuss what ‘small remedies’ implies.
                          4. Express logically and effectively a critique upon challenging new concepts.
                          5. Develop case analysis and repertorial skills.

 TEACHING                 Modified lecture involving interactive discussion.
 METHOD                   Guest lecturers may be included in this program on occasion.

                          Pass mark                                                    60%
                          Both components must be passed at 60% in order to pass this subject
                          satisfactorily.
                          NOTE: Students are required to take photocopies before submitting assignments to the
                          Lecturer. Marked assignments are available for collection either directly from your
                          Lecturer in class or from the Library a few weeks after the end of Term. Due to the high
                          volume of assignments we are only able to keep them for one Term before they are
                          recycled.
