                                                           c) When climbing onto the ute or trailer tray:
                                                           ● do not rush
                                                           ● do not hold anything in your hands
                                                           ● make sure to keep a firm footing and hand
                                                           hold
                                                           d) Before adding chemical to spray unit:
                                                           ● determine the amount of water and chemical
                                                           needed for the immediate task
                                                           ● fill spray unit with the water first to avoid
                                                           chemical frothing

                                                    ● Do a risk assessment of the site prior to
                                                    starting work.
                                                    ● Be aware of trip hazards when spraying
                                                    ● Check the strength and direction of wind
                                                    before spraying. Stop the activity if necessary
                                                    ● Do not:
                                                    - spray at temperatures above 30 degrees
                                                    Celsius and a relative humidity of less than 45%
                                                    - spray near members of the public unless
                                                    appropriate signage has been erected and
                                                    public notified
                                                    - work on any slope or terrain that is unsafe for
                                                    vehicle operation.
                                                    - spray while standing on the ute tray
                                                    - allow herbicide to drift into waterways or
                                                    onto off target vegetation
                                                    ● Stop spraying and immediately notify
                                                    supervisor if there is:
                                                    - any equipment leakage
                                                    - any equipment malfunction
                                                    ● Any faulty or malfunctioning spray
                                                    equipment must be tagged before being stored
                                                    away at the depot

                                                             the depot
