The HP State Cooperative Agriculture & Rural Development Bank Lt; a Long Term Lending Institution in the state of Himachal Pradesh,
invites ONLINE applications from the eligible candidates for the recruitment of various categories of posts in the Bank, purely on
contract basis. Candidates should apply online only by visiting Bank’s website www.hpardb.org between 15.03.2012 and 04.04.2012.
Applications received by any other mode will not be accepted.

 Note: The reservation has been worked out as per State Government Guidelines taking into account the excess/shortfall in each
 category. The number of vacancies as also the number of reserved vacancies is provisional and may very for various categories of
 posts. It is clarified that it may not be possible to employ physically challenged candidates in all offices/branches of the Bank and they,
 in case of selection, have to work in the post identified by the bank as suitable for them.

 Abbreviations: GEN-General, SC-Schedule Caste, ST-Schedule Tribe, OBC-Other Backward Classes, Ex.M- Ex-Serviceman, PH-Physically
 Challenged, FF-Ward of freedom Fighter, IRDP- Integrated Rural Development Programme / Antodaya.

 AGE: Between 18 and 45 years as on 1-1-2012. The maximum age limit is relaxed to the candidates of SC, ST, OBC, physically
 challenged person & wards of freedom fighter up to 5 yrs. as per the policy of State Govt. The maximum age limit is also relaxed to the
 Ex Service man of HP up to the extent of service rendered by them in defense subject or 58 yrs., (which is the age of superannuation in
 the Bank). The reservation to ex-service man is in accordance to the provision contained in the Rules 3 of the “Demobilized Armed
 Forces Personnel Rules 1972” & any subsequent instruction /order in vogue. Relaxation in age shall be as per State Government

3                Gr.IV.(Computer Operator):-           i) A Second class degree in Computer science/BSc. IT/BCA OR equivalent or Post
                                                       Graduate Diploma in Computer Application(PGDCA) from recognized university
                                                       or 3 years Diploma in Computer Science from recognized Polytechnic Institute.

                                                       ii) Two year experience in relevant field, data processing and programming concept.

    4            Gr.IV(Steno Typist)                   i)10+2 with 50% marks from recognized Board ii) Shorthand in English & Hindi with
                                                       minimum speed of 60 words per minutes & typing speed on computer in Hindi 25 words
                                                       per minute & 30words per minutes in English .

5                Driver:                               i) Middle Pass from a recognized Board (Relaxation in case of Ex-serviceman Driver
                                                       having served as Driver for at least 5 yrs.) II) Holding Valid Driving Licence III) 3 yrs.
                                                       experience as Driver.

6                Peon                                  Matriculation from recognized Board.
 DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: Knowledge of custom, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the
 peculiar prevailing in the Pradesh.

     However if the fee is deposited in SBI a/c, no processing fee(Bank charges) will be applicable.

 SELECTION PROCEDURE: The selection will be based on written test and interview. The marks for the interview shall not be more than
 15% of total marks so prescribed for the written examination & interview. The written test will be of multiple choice objective type
 tests. The examination will be on Test of Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude, General
 Knowledge/Financial Awareness, Computer & Clerical Aptitude. Out of these tests listed above the composition/number of tests will
 depend upon the post/grade applied for. Details about the test, Sample Question, how to mark Answer on OMR Answer sheets, Time
 allotted etc. Will be provided in the Information Handout. Shorthand/Typing/Date Entry Test will be conducted only for the candidates
 who qualify in written examination. The candidates will have to appear in the written test and interview at their own expenses.
Candidates will be required to download the call letters from Bank’s website by entering the registration number & password. Call
letters will not be dispatched by post/ courier.

Note: For Steno Typist, the typing ability will be checked on computer.

WRITTEN TEST CENTRES: The written test will be conducted on following Distt. Head Quarter.

Dharamshala, Una, Hamirpur, Shimla, Solan, Kullu, Mandi, Nahan, Peo, Keylong, Chamba, Bilaspur.

Note : Examination for the post of Computer Operator, Steno Typist and Driver will be held at Shimla only.


       1.          The appointment will be purely on temporary basis initially for one year only.
       2.          The contract may be renewed after expiry of the contractual period subject to the satisfactory performance of the
                   candidate and availability of the vacancies.
       3.          After the completion of 5 years of contractual period in continuity, the appointee shall be eligible for regularization
                   subject to availability of vacancies, suitability and satisfactory performance of the candidate.

       4.          The service may be terminated on any of the following ground/reasons.
                   i    For unauthorized absence from duty.

                   ii   The work and conduct of the contractee is not found satisfactory

                   iii By giving two months notice to the Bank failing which one month salary shall be forfeited (in case resignation by
                   the contractee).

HONORARIUM/ALLOWANCE/EMOLUMENTS: The appointee will be entitled to the initial Basic Pay of the post plus 50% Dearness Pay.
An amount of 3% of the minimum of pay scale plus Dearness Pay of the post as annual increase in contractual emoluments for the
subsequent year(s) will be allowed. No other allowances like Dearness Allowance, gratuity, leave encashment etc. either during the
contract period or on termination of the contract shall be admissible. However, an appointee will be entitled for TA/DA as applicable to
their regular counter part officials at the minimum of the pay scale. The appointee will be entitled for a fixed sum of Rs. 1000/- per year
as medical allowance. The initial basic pay of above mentioned categories are as under:-

   1.          Candidates are required to apply Online through Bank website www.HPARDB.Org. No other means/ mode of application
               will be accepted.

   2.          Candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID. It should be kept active during the currency of this
               recruitment project, Bank may send call letters for written test, interview etc. through the registered email. ID. Under
               no circumstances, he/she should share/mention email/ID to/or of any other person.
   3.          In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/she should create his/her new email ID before applying.
   4.          Applicants are first required to go to the Bank’s website www.HPARDB.Org. and open the link “Recruitment”.
               Thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification entitled “SARDB RECRUITMENT PROJECT-2011”.
   5.          Take a print of the entire Recruitment Notification, including the ‘FEES PAYMENT CHALLAN”.
   6.          Fill in the Fee Payment Challan in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS.
   7.          Go to the nearest branch of either of the following Banks with the Payment Challan duly filled in and pay, in cash the
               appropriate application fee in the account number shown against the name of the Bank.

   8.          Obtain the Counterfoil (Applicant’s Copy) of the Fee Payment Challan duly received by the Bank with (a) Branch Name &
               Code Number (b) Transaction ID/Journal No (c) Date of Deposit & Amount filled by the Branch Official.
   9.          Candidates are now ready to apply online by re-visiting the Recruitment Page of the Bank’s website and going to the sub
               KASUMPTI, SHIMLA-9 RECRUITMENT PROJECT-2012” Click on this sub link will open up the appropriate Online
               Application Format.
   10.         Carefully fill in the necessary details from the Fee Payment Challan in the Online Application Form at the appropriate
               places and submit the same Online.
   11.         On submitting online application the registration number & password will appear on screen the same will also be
               informed to the candidates by email & sms. You are advised to preserve the same carefully for future use.
   12.         Candidates should take a printout of the application form, affix a photograph and keep it with them. The application
               printout should not be sent to any address but preserved by the candidates for submitting at the time of interview.
   13.         Original counterfoil of the fee payment Challan will have to be submitted with the Call Letter at the time of written test.
               Without counterfoil of the fee payment Challan, the candidates will not be allowed to appear in the written test.
               Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep 3 photocopies of the fee payment Challan for future use.
   14.         The name of the candidates or his/her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in
               the matriculation certificates/mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

     i.      Before filling in the application form, the candidate must ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility criteria with
             respect to age, educational qualifications etc. in respect of the post for which he/she is filling the application and
             that the particulars furnished in the application form are correct in all respects. In
             case it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility criteria, and/or that he/she has
             furnished any incorrect information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If
             any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after the appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated.

     ii.     An application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and the application fee so paid will NOT BE refunded
             on any account nor would be held in reserve for any future examination or selection. The application fee shall also
             NOT BE refunded in case the application is rejected/not considered by the Bank.

     iii.    Candidates should apply online by visiting our website www.HPARDB.Org. No other mode of application will be

     iv.     Candidates will be required to download the call letters from Bank’s website by entering the registration number &
             password. Call letters will not be dispatched by post/ courier.

     v.      If a candidate is eligible and desires to apply for more than one post, he/she should apply separately for each post.
             Application fee should also be remitted separately.

     vi.     Eligible candidates have to appear for a written test and interview at their own expenses at the venue and date
             notified by the Bank.

     vii.    Admission to written examination will be purely provisional without verification of age/
             qualification/experience/category/SC/ST/OBC, etc. of the candidates with reference to documents. Candidates have
             to produce all the requisite certificates/documents in original with Xerox copies for verification at the time of
             interview. Failure to do so shall lead to disqualification of the candidate. Decision of the Bank in all matters regarding
             eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, the documents to be
             produced for the purpose of conduct of written test, interview, selection etc., and any other matter relating to
             recruitment will be final and binding on the candidates. No correspondence or personal enquiries shall be entertained
             by the Bank in this regard.

     viii.   The Bank has the right to reject any application/candidature at any stage without assigning any reason and the
             decision of the Bank shall be final.

     ix.      Preference will be given to higher professional/technical qualifications.

     x.       Service Rules will prevail upon any printing/publishing/clerical error.

     xi.      Canvassing any form will be a disqualification.
