Description: Under this program, participants will be asked to write a computer
program by solving any particular problem. Participants fight with the weapons
of C, C++ in the arena of on the spot programming. Participants will test their
problem solving skills in the forms of programming problems

Rules:
   A participant must be a student of Institute of Computing.
   The Contest is open to individuals only (Not teams).

Venue:
   P4 Lab (of Institute of Computing).

                                    Quiz

Description:
           This quiz is designed to challenge participants' knowledge in how
well do they know computer and its software and hardware?

The quiz will be comprised of the following broad computer science topics:

     Computer Fundamentals
     Programming Fundamentals
     Network Fundamentals
     Data Structures
     Operating Systems

Rules:
   Maximum two participants per team.
   A participant must be a student of Institute of Computing.

    Seminar Hall (Institute of Computing)

                             Gaming Contest


Description:
Video gaming is a major sport for those who are part of the video gaming world.
It takes time, patience and skill to become one of the best. Developers take
their time and test their patience to create the best game possible for those
who game; these individuals usually posses excellent hand/eye coordination.


The contest will comprise of 9 computers (8 for participants and 1 for server).
All of the computers are contributed by the students. The video game “Counter
Strike” has been selected for the contest.


Rules:
   This contest is open to teams only.
   A team must comprise of 4 participants.
   A participant must be a student of Institute of Computing.
   Each team shall compete to “Race-to-ten” i.e. whichever team wins 10
     rounds first, wins the tournament.


Venue:
           Exam Hall (Institute of Computing).

                 Formal Presentation Competition

Description:
                 A student must possess a well-developed ability to
communicate, both orally and in presenting. This competition is designed to
emphasize the value of an ability to deliver oral presentations. The
Presentations will be judged in four categories; Content, Organization, Delivery
and Effectiveness, and Discussion.

Rules:
   The subject matter must be related to some area of the broad field of
     Computer Science.

   Each presentation shall be made by one contestant.

   The Presentation's duration is five (5) minutes plus five (5) minutes for
    "questions and answers" immediately thereafter.
   A participant must be a student of Institute of Computing.


Venue:
           Video Conference Room (Institute of Computing).

                             Project Exhibition

 Description:
                  The final year projects of the students shall be displayed. The
jury shall then analyses the projects and evaluate them.

                 Resources required from Institute
   In order to successfully execute the event, we need support from the
department in terms of physical resources too. The organizers will be
responsible for any resource borrowed from the Department. The list of the
proposed resources, which shall be in use at the event, is as following:



      Rooms:
     Lab with operational computers (For On spot Programming)
     Room # 214 (For organizers and volunteers)
     Video Conferencing Room (For Formal Presentation)
     Seminar Hall (For Quiz & Opening Ceremony)
     Examination Hall ( For Gaming Contest)
     Committee Room (Projects Exhibition)

    Physical Assets:
   Tables (From Library & Committee Room)
   Electric Generator with fuel. (In case of any power outage).
   10 keyboards & mice (other than the lab computers)

    Personnel:
   Security Guard(s)
   Lab Attendants
   Sweeper on Sunday.


   And most importantly, complete access to above mentioned rooms on
