Research Paper/Speech Checklist
As we work thought eh research paper process you will be expected to complete a
series of steps leading up to the final product. Because the English Department believes
the steps of the research paper are extremely important in creating a strong final
product, each step is checked and a test grade will be assigned upon completion of the
steps. It is essential to complete each step by the assigned due date, or credit will not be
given for that step.

Persuasive Speech Preparation Questionnaire
In order to earn credit for the Oral Communication project, this form must be submitted
BEFORE giving your speech. Your responses need to be written in complete sentences
and include specific ideas.
This form may be typed.
1. In several complete and detailed sentences, explain the purpose of your speech.
2. Describe the intended audience for this speech and how you plan to address their
interests.
3. What prior knowledge does your audience have concerning this topic? (think about
what you knew before you started research)
4. What new information will you have to provide the audience? (think of major terms,
concepts and ideas that were new to you when you started to do research or
