The 54th annual NFAIS (National Federation of Advanced Information Services) Conference in late February turned the spotlight on current trends in the information landscape. Under the theme Born of Disruption: An Emerging New Normal for the Information Landscape, industry notables showcased the latest spins on process, people, platforms, and products, as the audience did its part in providing insights into user behavior via ad hoc polls during the 3-day conference. For Lee Rainie, director of the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project, the information landscape has changed in big ways. Internet users are now radically different than they were a few years ago. Users just aren't using content; they're producing it.
