DARE To Be DIFFERENT
Love ME Don’t HURT ME!!!
Display: February 9-13th
CAFETERIA/Courtyard 10-2pm
The Clothesline Project is a visual display that raises awareness about domestic violence. During the public display, a clothesline is hung with shirts that represent the experiences of survivors, friends and anyone who supports a non-violent community. An Empty Table Display will also be included.
(Monday – Friday)
Come by and learn about domestic violence issues in our community and have the opportunity to express yourself by making a shirt with Leslie Cabingabang, a community educator from the Domestic Violence Action Center, Pilipina Rural Project. Join us in the Student Lounge (Building 2, Room 111) for this special experience. You can ask questions or just kick back and listen. Great for men & women! Especially those of you who are considering careers in fields that may work more directly with family situations such as Administration of Justice, Human Services, Early Childhood Education,… We all can be advocates for positive and healthy domestic relationships.
