Due: December 2nd (Before the end of the 2nd 9 Weeks)



Choice 1:

Read a FICTION book (a book that is not true).
Make a Paper Bag Book Report to describe the main events.
(Beginning, middle, and end of the story)

RUBRIC: Paper Bag Book Report

Write the title and author on the bag. ___/10 possible points
Illustrate the bag to reflect the story. ____/20 possible points
Write about what happens at the beginning, middle, and end of the
story. Each part should be written in complete sentences on a separate
card or piece of paper.
Place the cards inside the bag. ___/20 possible points
 (If you need a large index card, you may get one from me.)
Begin each sentence with a capital letter and use the correct end
punctuation mark. ___/10 possible points
Illustrate each card with the beginning, middle, and end.
Creativity: To earn these points, you must show something special or
spectacular or fabulous or impressive!! (Be creative!!
 Example: Include in your bag 3-5 items that are related to the story)

Read a NON-FICTION book (a book that is factual).
Design a “Super-Sized Bookmark” and include 5 facts that you learned.

RUBRIC: Super-Sized Bookmark

Make a “Super-Sized Bookmark” using a large piece of paper
(construction paper, tag board, poster board, etc.).
 Decorate it with pictures, cut-outs, or other ideas. ____/15 possible
points
Write the title and author on the bookmark. ____/10 possible points
Write 5 facts (true statements) about what you learned from reading
the book.
 Write the facts using complete sentences. ____/25 possible points
Begin each sentence with a capital letter and use correct end
