Application Information

           ichigan State University receives196 applications and only accepts 32 students1

M          and that is why it is very important to follow the admissions guidelines.
           There are many parts to the admission requirements for the Speech-Language
Pathology and Audiology Master’s Program at Michigan State. Applicants are first
considered for admission if they have a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology or
Audiology. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a four-point scale is required. By, February
15th, three letters of recommendation, a personal statement, an official application, two
official transcripts, and the undergrad requirement form are due. The three letters
of recommendation are to be sent directly to the Chair of the Graduate Studies and
Admissions Committee. An undergraduate instructor must write two of the three letters.
Standard forms for these letters are given to the students; however, a standard letter
format is also acceptable. The personal statement is a one-page description of the
applicant’s academic history and reasons for seeking this degree. Unlike other
Universities, applicants are not required to submit the GRE scores. If applicants have
any questions or concerns, they can contact Student Affairs Secretary at 517-353-8641.2
