FCAT Explorer: Homework – due 1st day of each school week Username: ___________________
1) Go to www.fcatexplorer.com.
2) At the top right of the website, sign in using the sign-in name and password given on Monday, January 23.
3) Under READING, Click Reading Timeline 10th Grade Benchmarks.
4) You will need to do ALL the stories in order, following the due date checklist below.
5) Click on the first passage under “Select a Passage,” BC to AD.
6) Read passage, follow directions, and answer questions. Same for the next passage.
Once finished with the story, go to Explorer’s report and print today's report. If you cannot print, you may copy the
report onto an email or save it as a word document and email as an attachment BEFORE the due date. If you email it to
me, Subject Line should read: Stu. Name, Week #, and Story(ies). If not, no credit will be earned.
For homework, you are to read and answer questions for the required stories per week on FCAT Explorer.
After reading each story, you are to do one of the following.
A: Print the today’s report under Explorer’s report (must turn in on the due date listed below).
B: Copy & paste onto an email to firstname.lastname@example.org BEFORE the due date. If I do not receive an email or
printout, no credit will be given. You may send me a test email to confirm you have my correct email address.
Subject Line: Stu. Name, Week #, and Story(ies).
C: Save as a word document and then email as an attachment to email@example.com & copy yourself.
The stories will be due the 1st day of each school week, worth 5 points per story.
You can do stories at your own pace, on different days, but must be completed on the week of the due date, not
before or after. The report at the end of each story will have the date and I will also be able to log on and see your
activity. You MUST do the required reading passages per week and turn in the printed or emailed report to me by the
due date of each week for a grade. Again, cannot be done ahead of time or late.
If you do not have access to the Internet, use the library during lunch or after school BEFORE the due date.
Accessing the Internet to use FCAT Explorer is YOUR responsibility and no excuses will be accepted.
No late work will be accepted. Each benchmark has an online tutorial on FCAT Explorer.
