ATLANTA, Georgia – The LoRusso Law Firm announces the opening of its new office on Powers Ferry
Road in northwest Atlanta. Founder Lance J. LoRusso is an attorney with a law enforcement background
who recently left his position as partner with a local defense firm to launch his own firm. He built his
successful practice defending medical professionals and healthcare systems as well as surviving family
members and catastrophically injured plaintiffs.
The LoRusso Law Firm offers clients expertise in the areas of business litigation, medical malpractice
defense, wrongful death claims on behalf of surviving family members, healthcare law, and representing
injured parties in catastrophic personal injury cases. The focus of the firm is to provide representation to the
business community and healthcare systems through litigation with a strong emphasis on policy review and

security issues. He has nearly 20 years experience as a certified law enforcement officer and is a certified
hostage negotiator. He continues to serve the police as General Counsel to the Georgia Fraternal Order of
Police and a Lodge Attorney for Cobb County FOP Lodge 13. Additionally, he responds to the scene of
officer-involved shootings, serves as an instructor for Georgia police academies, and handles pro bono
appeals for the Cobb County Solicitor General’s Office.
Due to his desire to protect the public from legal fraud, Lance has been involved with the Georgia State Bar’s
efforts to curb the unauthorized practice of law in Georgia since 2000. He serves as the Chair of the District 7
Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. Additionally, he enjoys educating the business and medical
