Honeybees
Honeybees are amazing builders. Their homes are hexagonal (6 sided cells) There are also 60,000 bees in 1 colony. Hives contain many wax structures called
honeycombs.
Wasp
Wasps homes are made out of their own paper that
comes from there body. Paper from some wasps nests is strong enough to be put into a type writer. The queen wasp just like the honey bee, lays eggs in hexagonal cells.
Termites
Termites make their termite towers out of mud and
there saliva. There is a place for termites to retreat when enemies appear
Harvester ants
Harvesters are mammals just like humans. Harvester ants dig tunnels and that is where they live. Their under ground home is like a little city.
Spiders
35,000 different thousand speeches! Spiders build webs out the material in there body. A spiders web collects food for the spider to eat. Some of the most amazing things in the world are
build by spiders.
Cause and Effect
CAUSE! Honey bees produce wax from there stomach.
EFFECT! The effect is to build more homes (hexagonal cells) CAUSE! The queen harvester ant lays eggs. EFFECT! More harvester ant workers.

Can you believe how amazing insects are? The most amazing thing that I learned most about was termites. Termites can build 20ft towers out of mud and saliva. Can you do that? Termites like spiders, bees, wasp and ants are amazing builders.
