Responsibilities:
        Receives and processes checking and savings account deposits; provides customers with transaction records;
         provides customers with account balances; cashes checks and processes checking and savings account
         withdrawals with prescribed cash limit authorization; accepts loan payments, safe deposit payments; redeems
         U.S. Savings Bonds; assists other tellers with more complex customer transactions.
        Fills cash orders for other tellers which include counting, sorting, and maintaining daily monies required to
         operate teller windows; approves, balances and reports daily teller transactions in accordance with standard
         procedures; assists other tellers with balancing or processing related issues.
        Maintains audit controls for teller area, which includes teller audits monthly, audits of official checks, traveler
         checks and money orders; monitors and approves daily work logs; clearing of general ledger unreconciled Teller
         and Branch Suspense accounts; completes cash figures for tellers daily and prepares cash report for the general
         ledger; contributes to branch profitability; monitors teller outages; controls collection of teller fees; investigates
         and reports shortages or overages in accordance with standard branch operations procedures.
        Actively solicits new business through referrals; refers Bank products and services to new and existing customers
         by identifying problems, needs, and opportunities; answers questions and suggests appropriate actions to meet
         the customer's banking needs. Contributes to SSI lift by managing the Teller referral process through training
         and by promoting self-service delivery channels ex. ATM and ExpressBank; establishes expectations, and
         monitors results.
        Greets customers and establishes a quality customer service environment; monitors teller staff to ensure a high
         level of customer service is maintained in the teller area; provides additional training when needed.
        Prepares work schedules and assigns teller stations; monitors overtime; provides training to tellers regarding
         appropriate procedures and sales/service techniques; assists in hiring, conducts performance appraisals; may
         assume management responsibility for the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.
