OUTCOME ACHIEVED BY THE END THE YEAR APRIL 2009


  1. The Culture, Sports and Career Guidance for the Academic year 2008-09 was
     inaugurated by Dr.Geeta Bali Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Women’s
     University, Bijapur on 18-8-2008.
  2. Career Oriented Programme (COP) course was inaugurated by Sri S.B.Kanthi
     Manager Syndicate Bank Chadchan on 23-8-2008
  3. Special Lectures were arranged on the Life and Works of D.R.Bendre noted poet
     was held on 2-9-2008. Principal S.M.Cholakhe, Prof. S.G.Jangamashetti and
     Dr. N.B.Mudnur gave lectures.


  4. Special Lecture on ‘Personality Development’ by Dr.D.N.Murthy retired
     Psychology Professor of Central College, Bangalore was arranged on 4-9-2008.
  5. Teachers’ Day Celebration on 5-9-2008
  6. Special Lecture on “Environment Protection” by Sri.T.C.Devanath (Karnataka
     State Environment Awardee ) was arranged on 10-9-2008
  7. Special Lecture on “Share Market” by Sri Shashidhar of Karvy Company was
     arranged on 11-9-2008.
  8. Quiz and Debate Competition among students were conducted on 18.19 & 20,
     Sept,2008

9. A Rally and Essay Competition on “Eradication of Terrorism” were organized on
   3-2-2009 and 6-2-2009
10. Selection of Students Ambassadors was conducted in collaboration with Vidya
   Poshak, noted NGO Dharwad on 11-2-2009.
11. Two Days Workshop on “Personality Development and Competitive Spirit” was
   organized on 13 & 14-Feb-2009. Capt Sri C.S.Anand of Vidya Poshak Dharwad
   was the Resource Person.
12. UGC Sponsored Two Day National Level Seminar on ‘An impact of
   Globalisation on Indian Business Environment’ was organized successfully. 150
   delegates from different States participated. Forty papers were presented by the
   delegates.
13. NSS Annual Special Camp was conducted successfully from March 14 to 20,
   2009 at Konkanagaon (Adopted Village). 100 NSS volunteers took active
   participation in the Camp.
14. Two NSS volunteers participated in University Level Leadership Training Camp
   at Dharwad and six volunteers participated in District Level Leadership Training
   Camp at Tikota.
15. 25 NCC cadets participated in CATC Camp at Bijapur.
16. One cadet attended TSC Camp at Bagalkot.
17. Five cadets participated in all India Trekking Expedition at Kadiwar, Kerala.
18. Ten cadets attended regular Army attachment camp at Tamilnadu (26th Dec 08 to
   9th Jan 09)
19. Seven Students participated in Karnataka University 5th Zone Volley Ball
   Tournament held at Guledgudd.
20. Seven Students of B.Com were selected at Campus selection at Bijapur and
   Gulbarga for placement in different companies.
21. The faculty members involved themselves in many academic activities by

  THE ACHIEVEMENT OF NSS, NCC AND SPORTS
         NSS:
          Annual special camps conducted by two NSS units for 8 Days at adopted Village
            Konkanagaon from 14 March to 20th March-2009. Construction of approach
            roads, cleaning, sewage pits, plantation, Environment Awareness, Personality
            Development, Health Awareness etc Programmes were conducted at the Camp.

    Plantation and Maintenance of Holy Orchard at Sangameshware Temple
    Two NSS Volunteers participated in University Level Leadership Training Camp
       held at Karnataka University, Dharwad
    Seven volunteers participated in District Level Leadership Training Camp held at
       BLDE’s Arts and Commerce College, Tikota.


   NCC:


    One cadet attended TSC Camp held at Bagalkot
    25 cadets attended CATC Camp at Bijapur
    4 SD and 17 SW cadets attended CATC Camp at Bijapur
    5 cadets attended all India Trekking Expedition Camp held at Karwar

         Class Tests, Seminars, Tutorials, Midterm Tests were conducted. Remedial
         classes were conducted for SC/ST students under UGC grants. Internal
         Assessment was done for Commerce and Arts faculty students.
