How To Make Your Beauty Products Last

It can be painful to throw away your beauty products. Quality products are often an investment, and tossing
them out can feel like tossing away the money you spent on them. That's why it's crucial that you do
everything you can to keep your products in pristine condition. Keep reading to discover how you keep products
looking new for months to come.

1. Is your nail polish starting to look dull or dried out? Is the bottle half full, but too sticky or thick to
be used? It's not too late for your polish to be restored. Simply add a single drop of nail polish thinner,
put the cap back on the bottle, and shake well. If the consistency isn't quite where you want it to be, keep
adding drops until the polish is as good as new.

2. When you constantly need to reapply your makeup, you'll go through it much more quickly. That's why it's
important to make the makeup you wear last. After putting on your makeup, spray a light mist of water on your
face. This will set your makeup and keep you from having to touch it up throughout the day, which will allow
your products to last for longer.

3. When your powder makeup is broken, it may seem like it's beyond repair. However, it can be fixed with just
a little work and a lot of patience. Place a few drops of rubbing alcohol in your compact with your broken
power. Once you see the powder start to absorb the alcohol, push the now-soften powder together with your
fingers, smoothing it until it looks the way you desire. Then, let the powder dry for about 6 to 8 hours. It
will dry in the fixed form, unbroken and totally usable!

4. If your best makeup brushes are too stiff to use, they can still be fixed! When you're cleaning your
brushes, mix in a small amount of olive oil. The olive oil will add oils to your brush similar to the natural
oils your hair produces, keeping it soft and usable.

5. Even careful cleaning won't keep your brushes great forever. Give them a rest when you can and utilize
disposable applicators instead. If your hands have been thoroughly cleaned, you may even want to apply makeup
with your fingers. Giving your brushes a break will help them last longer.

6. While it's great to save your makeup, know when it really is time to say goodbye. If your makeup has a
strange smell, looks damaged, or is past its expiration date, toss it out. Beauty products that are in bad
condition won't do their job, and aren't worth putting on your face.

You won't always be able to save your makeup, but thanks to the tips in this article, you should be able to
make the products you have last. Keeping your products in good condition will save you a pretty penny, which
means you'll have more money to spend when the time to buy new products finally comes.
