Great Looking Skin And Hair On A Budget

If you are appalled by the high price tag on some of the leading beauty products, it's time to take a look at
some inexpensive skin and care ideas that will keep you looking great without spending much money. The article
below is full of helpful suggestions and great ideas for beautiful skin and hair.

Exfoliate your skin with a simple mixture of honey and brown sugar. Honey works to stop wrinkles, gently
cleans the skin, reduces puffiness and it kills germs too! The brown sugar has a great exfoliating action on
the skin to scrub away dead skin cells to leave your skin smooth and glowing. Just mix two tablespoons of
honey and two tablespoons of brown sugar together until combined. Wash your face and pat it dry. Apply the
mixture as a face mask with a gentle massaging motion for about 5 minutes. Then leave it on your face for
another 10 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. You can repeat this soothing mask weekly for a
beautiful and smooth look.

A cup of water mixed with a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar makes an effective hair cleanser if you are
ready to go shampoo free. Many women object to the excessive number of chemicals in expensive shampoos and
apple cider vinegar is a natural way to add shine to your locks for a lot less than a bottle of designer
shampoo.

Many ophthalmologists recommend baby shampoo as a simple and inexpensive eye makeup remover. It is gentle,
does not irritate the delicate skin around the eyes and takes off every smidgen of mascara and other makeup.

If you'd like fuller lips but don't want a medical plump, try some cinnamon leaf oil for plumper looking lips.
Cinnamon leaf oil is available at your local health food store and when mixed with a bit of petroleum jelly it
will make your lips appear fuller. Start with two drops of oil to a tablespoon of jelly. Apply to lips and
watch your lips plump. The sensation will be a slight tingle and if it is more like a burn, reduce the amount
of cinnamon oil to a single drop. The fullness only lasts as long as you wear the balm.

Salicylic acid is one of the ingredients in Pepto-Bismol and it is also found in most acne creams. Try a
Pepto-Bismol facial to help clear acne problems and promote a smoother complexion. Another simple acne remedy
is to apply a bit of toothpaste to blemishes before bed and allow to dry overnight.

For a refreshing and soothing after shower moisturizer, mix a few drops of your favorite scent with olive oil
and massage into damp skin. You can pay special attention to any dry spots on heel and elbows and the results
will be fantastic.

The inside of the avocado skin can also be used to freshen your skin and add much needed moisture. Rub the
inner side of the peel on your face and leave on for a few minutes before rinsing with cool water.
Using some simple products from your pantry to make your own beauty treatments is a fabulous way to save money
and get a glowing complexion at the same time. Try some of the creative ideas from the article above to get
you started.
