Accomplishment
System
https://fas.missouri.edu/
What is the FAS
Web-based database to collect faculty
activities
Publications,grants, consultation, committee
assignment, CE, course & eventually
clerkship contributions
FAS replaces the yearly requests for:
Facultyactivity report
Consultative activity
Regional and National committee participation
Why
Ease the management of personal CV and improve activity reporting
for the system
Reduce the burden of gathering data outside the annual reporting
time
A perpetual system more closely resembles the day-to-day flow
Enable the UM System to present stakeholders with a more
complete accounting of faculty accomplishments in teaching,
research and service
Will eventually enable department chairs to evaluate performance of
their department (and individual members)
Requirements to Run FAS
All medical school faculty carrying full time appointments
must participate
Participation requires an active Exchange email account
Delegation to administrative assistants requires that the
assistant also possess a UMKC email account
Internet access via browser only
UM System has requested historical data entry from Jan
1, 2004 forward
Option exists to add additional data prior to 2004
