The Project Status Report communicates the progress of the project over a particular reporting period. It includes:
- Changes to the Project Plan (scope, timescales, and costs).
The reporting structure and process should be documented in the Project Plan, which is then endorsed by the Steering Committee. This ensures agreement on the content, frequency and audience for the reports. Depending upon the organisation and nature of the project, there may be different reporting requirements for different audiences. In this case, the Project Manager may need to adapt the format or content to suit the audience.
