Company Overview
The DIRECTV group is a leading provider of
direct broadcast satellite television service,
providing hundreds of digital video and audio
channels to more than 17 million monthly
subscribers in the US and a selection of local and
international programming to 5.5 million
subscribers in Latin America. DTV distributes its
services mainly through direct sales, retail
channels, and co-branding partnerships.

   AT&T and DIRECTV agreed in September 2008 to offer DTV
    services to AT&T customers in its digital bundle package. DTV
    replaces Dish Network in this agreement.
   DIRECTV is the exclusive provider of NFL and MLB “season”
    packages (NFL Sunday Ticket and MLB Extra Innings).
   DTV is the largest provider of satellite service and the second
    largest cable broadcast behind Comcast.
   Offers the most HD channels and has the most advanced DVR
    capability with investments to advance the DVR options.
   Set a $4.5 billion share buyback plan in 2008.
   Acquired 180 Connect Co in July 2008, a major installation
    company, to handle 20% of the companies installation Work
