Dear Neighbor

The attached RPO Hangtag application is the City’s official form for
applying for RPO Hangtags. There is NO other form for this process.

As the rules are written today, some residents will believe they do not
qualify for RPO hangtags. We are a diverse community and the City
recognizes these exceptions will come up. For example -

   Handicapped persons who do not drive but need a caretaker to
    visit
   Persons with suspended drivers licenses
   Persons who do not drive a car, do not have a license and do not
    have vehicle insurance

However, that does not mean you should not apply for hangtags that
can be used by your friends and family. The City of Dallas is ready to
help anyone with special issues or concerns that may impact their
eligibility for RPO hangtags.

If you live on a street with RPO protection, but do not qualify to buy
RPO hangtags as the form is presented, then please call the City’s RPO
coordinator to make a request for an exception or review of these
issues.
