Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He promised that ‘He goes to prepare a place for us-‘ In Ps.
23, God promised that He has already ‘prepared a table for us in the presence of our enemies’.
There are no enemies in Heaven, that table is set down here. Either way; God has us protected.

THE LORD GIVES, AND THE LORD TAKES AWAY

20Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and
worshipped,
21And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD
gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

In this entire scenario, Job sinned not, nor did he charge God foolishly. However, Job will
eventually live to eat those words; the LORD gave, And the Lord hath taken away. The Lord gives,
but He does not take take away. While he didnt charge God foolishly, he didnt say much of
anything else either. For the next 38 chapters, Job reads like a set of stereo instructions. Woe is
me; but God is good...Blessed be the name of the Lord. It isnt until chapter 40 that God interrupts;

1Jehovah answered Job and said,
2Shall he that will contend with the Almighty instruct
[Him]? He that reproved God let him answer it.
3And Job answered Jehovah and said, 4Behold, I am naught (nothing): what shall I answer thee?
I will lay my hand upon my mouth.
5Once have I spoken yea twice, but I will proceed no further.
6And Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind and said 7Gird up now thy loins like a man: I will
demand of thee, and inform thou me

8Wilt thou also annul my judgment? Wilt thou condemn me that thou may be righteous? (Job 40:1-
8)

Strong words, especially when they are accompanied by a strong wind! God was basically saying
to Job- stop arguing with me. I blessed you, now be Blessed. Clean yourself up and talk like a
man, I will ask you and you will tell me. In other words, give me some words that I can agree with.
As long as you are talking about how I am punishing you, I cant agree with that because once I
agree- it comes to pass.
God goes on to ask or will you condemn me so that you can feel righteous?

We have all seen this before, people who refuse to believe what God says, and would rather just
run their story by anyone who will listen. Your Traditions have made the Word of God to no
effect.... (Mt15:6) They are just convinced that their condition is genetic, or that their problems are
just part of the current economic situation, and there is just no way out. Well I am here to let you
know, God is not dependent on any current condition, or any government, or any treatment the
doctors have prescribed, God is God, and He will honor His Word if used properly. It doesnt matter
who the person is, what their religion is, what they have done in the past, all that matters is Faith in
His Word.
In Chapter 42, Job goes on to say

2I know that thou canst do everything, and that thou canst be hindered in no thought of thine
3therefore have I uttered what I did not understand; Things too wonderful for me, which I knew not
5I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye see thee:
6Wherefore I abhor [myself], and repent in dust and ashes.

So we can see, it is the Lord that gives, but it is not the Lord who takes away. However, there are
churches all across America that have this artistically ingrained into their stained glass windows as
if it was something to be aspired to. In the end, God told Job to accept the sacrifices of Jobs
friends, and burn them to God as an offering. In this way, God was able to accept Job back into
the Faith, and allow his friends to hide behind him. Job 42, vs. 12 says that in the end

12the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand
sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
13He had also seven sons and three daughters.
15And in all the land were no women found so far as the daughters of Job: and their father gave
them inheritance among their brethren.
16After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four
generations.
17So Job died, being old and full of days.

We do not have to clean up our own sins before we enter the family of God. If we could clean up
our own sins, there would be no need for the Savior. The Bible teaches that if we will Walk in the
Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Galatians 5:15-17)

If we keep our eyes on God, feed our souls with the Word of God, we wont be so weak in standing
up to do what we know we should. With the prolific use of the Internet now, we dont even have to
read any more. There are an infinite number of teachers and preachers bringing into our homes
the Word of God in just about any language and medium we choose; something that was not
available to mankind even 50 short years ago. Just like God, they are always broadcasting, it is up
to us to tune them in. This is the only way to get the devil off our backs and overcome the
temptations that continue after us throughout our entire lives. We all have the free will it takes to
make the decision to spend our time with the Word of God, and once we do, the power of the Holy
Spirit will transform our inner man, and make us into people who will truly be able to have
dominion over, and subdue the world around us.

Description: Jesus Christ was the most controversial person to ever walk the earth. His life is filled with conflicts and disputes that rage on even to this day. And yet, for those of us that are Born Again, it all makes perfect sense. There are still questions about His life and Ministry that many of us take by Faith, but if we are willing to make the time to listen to Him, and try to understand, God will make Himself known to us in an even greater way; each and every day. There is no limit to what God can do, and He sent His Son Jesus to help us understand it.
