Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He promised that ‘He goes to prepare a place for us-‘ In Ps.
23, God promised that He has already ‘prepared a table for us in the presence of our enemies’.
There are no enemies in Heaven, that table is set down here. Either way; God has us protected.

LED BY THE SPIRIT, OR UNDER THE LAW

God has promised that if 18ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. (Gal 5:18). This is the
key to obtaining Mercy and being forgiven from whatever has plagued us in our life this side of
Heaven. So even if we never actually completely stop smoking or if we still have that forbidden
drink once in a while, as long as we never stop following the leading of the Lord we can still obtain
Mercy and Grace enough to be accepted into the House of the Lord. Once there, our addictions
will melt away like the snow in spring.

And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him
that blasphemed against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven. (Luke 12:9-11)

Many adversaries of Christianity will complain that this kind of mentality is just giving people a
license to sin, but when you think about it, people have been sinning without a license for
centuries. Until they see the Goodness of God, and experience His Love, they are not even
considering their sin. It is up to us, the Born Again populace, to demonstrate this Love, and lead
others closer to God where He will be able to change their heart. And once He does, they will fall
in Love with Him just like we did, and it doesnt take months of education at the seminary to do
either. People who love God and seek after Him are not looking for a way to get away with
something; once they decide to serve and please their Loving Creator, they will gladly find a way
to modify their behavior to do it.

It can be difficult to know how to follow after God; there are so many deceiving, charismatic people
on Earth who would attempt to lead us astray. Mr. Peter Dracker was speaking with Bill Moyers on
a US TV special called, A World of Ideas. Among other things, they talked about leadership. Some
of his comments were interesting. In particular he said;

1. That leadership can be exercised in a great number of ways; and,
2. Beware of charisma, this is the great delusion of the centuryThe most charismatic leaders in
history were named respectively Hitler, Stalin, and Mao; what matters is that charisma is almost
always miss-leadership, partly because it covers up the lack of substance, partly because it
creates arrogance, partly because it creates paranoia if you are not successful."

A friend of mine sent me this interesting email; it asks two tough questions -

Question 1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two of
whom were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she
have an abortion?

Question 2:
It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three
candidates.

Candidate A.
Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists.
He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B.
He was kicked out of political office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a
quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C.
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and
never cheated on his woman.

Which of these candidates would be your choice?

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B is Winston Churchill.
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

And, about your answer to the abortion question: If you said YES, you just killed Beethoven.

Remember: Amateurs...built the ark.
Professionals...built the Titanic.
