Support of the School District of Beloit Referendum Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation (GBEDC) announced today that it has signed a resolution to support the 2012 School District of Beloit Referendum. With a unanimous vote at our quarterly board meeting earlier today, it is with great pleasure that we support the School District on this initiative. This referendum will not only allow the School District to position itself to be competitive, but it will allow the City of Beloit to have an economic edge above surrounding schools. Joe Stadelman, GBEDC Board Chair stated, “Through the Board’s unanimous support of the resolution, the Board is continuing our long- standing and very active involvement in the area school districts, including the Beloit Schools. The quality of the Beloit area’s education and school facilities is one of the top recruitment tools we have in bringing new companies and people to our region.” The Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation is a public/private investor-based non-profit organization that fosters economic development in the Greater Beloit area.
