2. ROLE CONTEXT
Role Summary The Housing Connect Officer (EquityStart) is a role within Sales and Acquisitions, Asset Services and is
accountable to the Contracts Manager for:
providing client focused housing sales and housing related services.
providing a point of contact for sales services, communications and information between tenants,
Housing SA and HomeStart Finance.
Reporting/Working Contracts Manager (direct manager).
Directors and Senior Managers across DFC.
Staff within Asset Services.
Staff within Housing Services.
Housing SA clients and members of the general public.
Special Conditions Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a Background Screening and National
Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC) prior to being employed and every three years.
Some out of hours work may be required.

4. PRIMARY OUTCOMES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TASKS
Customer Service & Provide information and advice to Housing SA tenants regarding the purchase of Housing
Relationships SA properties and the HomeStart Finance EquityStart home loan product.
Refer clients to HomeStart Finance Officers for financial advice where applicable.
Effectively communicate with Housing SA appointed Real Estate Agents.
Regularly review activities and provide recommendations to meet client service
Identify new ways of promoting the EquityStart home loan product as well as assisting in
the presentation of the product to stakeholders.
Monitoring & Reporting Identify barriers, delays, discrepancies and follow through to address them to achieve
Assist in the collation of information for regular reporting to key stakeholders.
Work closely with other team members and HomeStart Finance Officers, sharing
information, advice and support.
Evaluate effectiveness against set performance indicators.
Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis of statistical reports regarding client
enquiries and the Equity Start Program, including performance indicators.
Administrative Support Respond to Housing Appeals and Ministerial enquiries related to EquityStart.
Undertake checking and data entry of all information relating to clients on mainframe
systems and the EquityStart database.
Participate in and assist with the organising of meetings with stakeholders and external
