Course Technology, a part of Cengage Learning, the worldwide leader in computing
education, held its 14th Annual National Conference March 11th -13th at the Red Rock
Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The annual three-day conference invites computer
technology educators to take part in hands-on training, networking opportunities; and
discussions on industry trends, teaching best practices, and courseware solutions.

This year’s conference hosted more than 500 technology educators and administrators
from universities, community colleges, career colleges and high schools worldwide.

The Conference 2009 focused on the latest technologies and their impact on teaching
and learning, including discussions on the ever-changing student and how to best
engage and prepare them for the real world. The event also featured a Thursday
afternoon round-table lunch which afforded instructors the opportunity for interaction and
networking with colleagues, as well as with Course Technology authors and staff.

With more than 60 educational sessions and hands-on labs, this year’s National
Conference featured sessions and labs on hot new technologies, Web 2.0, soft skills,
Adobe Creative Suite 4, as well as some of the new and emerging Course Technology
products including the Microsoft Office 2007 Premium Video Editions and CT3.
Attendees also had the opportunity to test drive many of Course Technology’s key
technology products in the interactive Learning Center exhibit hall.

This year’s National Conference also marked the 20th Anniversary of Course
Technology. Attendees were invited to celebrate this milestone with an opening night
